Dr. Fiona Yeung, DDS
Growing up in the San Francisco area, I loved two things—solving puzzles and watching my father draw. I was always analytical and artistic, but I was drawn health care because I truly love helping people. When I realized that dentistry combined arts, science, and public service, I knew it was the perfect fit.
I fell in love with Midtown on my first visit to New York City—the quick pace and vast diversity, connecting people from all over the world. So many things were “the best.” Best professionals, best arts, best shopping. I’ve always set high standards for myself so I knew offering Midtown dental care in NYC was what I wanted to do.
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from University of Detroit Mercy, in Michigan, and my general practice residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey. I belong to the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
In addition to my practice, I teach dentistry at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. Working with my residents keeps me inspired and we have a lot of fun along the way.
While I speak English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), the biggest language challenge seems to be helping my young nieces and nephews pronounce “Auntie Fiona.”
